Traditionally speaking, the Sabbath is a day of rest. It’s a time to reconnect to the sacred in your life and give thanks. You might attend weekly church or temple services or perhaps spend time in nature as your source of renewal. Whatever your divine practice, choose a day to hold your own Sabbath. This is a time to unplug from work and routine, a time to disconnect with the outer world and slow your pace, to enjoy family and enjoy time alone. What are the many ways you can pour back into yourself? What’s your ritual for giving thanks? What helps to dial you back into what’s important and what’s holy? This Sabbath observance is at the essence of what Latham calls glow time, another word for self-care. It is all about honoring the Divine within and creating sacred portals of self-renewal while being attuned to the rhythmic cycles that govern the body. Join women’s wellness maven Latham Thomas, author of OWN YOUR GLOW: A SOULFUL GUIDE TO LUMINOUS LIVING AND CROWNING THE QUEEN WITHIN for a deep dive into rituals for self-care.
